Get It Done

Personalized coaching for writers who are ready to commit to the full process of writing a novel.

This is where you get it all: support and accountability as you move through the process of writing a novel, to work through internal and external blocks and keep moving forward to completion. Having deadlines and someone waiting to give you honest, constructive feedback is the best motivator. I am your partner in the writing process, getting you through that first draft or revision. I’ll be with you every step of the way to cheer your successes and help you achieve your goals!

This package allows maximum flexibility, while also allowing you to move forward consistently with your writing goals. I ask you to commit to 12 sessions, which will give you time to really get results. This is usually completed within 3 months, but may be spread out up to 6 months. Many clients continue working with me beyond that to complete their manuscript.

  • Scheduled once per week or once every two weeks

  • Up to 15 pp per submission

  • One 50-minute Introductory Call, including pre-coaching exercises to help clarify your vision for your book and help me understand what your goals are.

  • Three 50-minute calls to discuss progress, brainstorm, and troubleshoot

  • Weekly email check-ins

  • $1497 for 12 sessions if paid in full; option for 3 payments of $499 each

Full manuscript review

$.02/word.

What you get:

  • Full read of your manuscript to uncover big picture issues (voice, plot, character) and help you understand what’s working and what’s not, and how you might fix it

  • Line edits and/or chapter notes at crucial points to help you gain clarity

  • May include limited copyediting/proofreading to correct any major issues I see

  • Detailed editorial letter outlining my feedback

  • 60-minute call to discuss any questions you have after reading my feedback

Outcome: Clarity on revisions needed and a plan to move forward to completion!

I also do a Proofreading Edit to help catch all those final pesky grammatical and spelling mistakes, typos, etc. For this, I charge $.015/word. ONLY choose this if you are 99% sure this is your final draft. If I think you need further developmental editing, I will let you know. At that point it will be your choice to continue the proofreading edit, or move to a developmental edit and apply what you’ve paid already toward that, plus the difference.
